William’s Fruity Porridge

A great yummy fruity porridge that can be served up for the whole family, not just for baby.  Thank you to William’s mum who posted this lovely recipe.   Tip from William’s mum: You can try this with cinnamon instead of the vanilla essence, but William’s mum reckons the vanilla essence is better!

Serves: Enough for mum and baby.  So adjust the quantities accordingly if you’re making for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup porridge oats
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 pears, peeled and diced
  • some dried apricots, chopped
  • Vanilla essence.

Instructions

  1. Put everything in a pan and add enough water to cover the oats and fruit.
  2. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer.  Keep stirring to prevent it from sticking to the pan.
  3. When all soft, blitz it with a blender.
  4. Enjoy!
