Busy Mums – learn to love your freezer and make life easier! A lot of Mums Spaghetti mums do batch cooking – getting a home cooked frozen meal out of the freezer the night before (de-frost in the fridge) does make the dreaded tea time so much easier.
Most of the Mums Spaghetti recipes can be batch cooked and frozen.
Some recipes can be frozen in ice-cube trays, others (such as little pies) need to frozen in portions. When you are freezing in ice cube trays, once frozen, place the cubes in freezer bags.
For individual meals or pies, you can buy silver foil take-away dishes from most supermarkets which make perfect portion sizes for little people and are great for freezing and re-heating (except in the microwave).
If you are looking for just one portion size, we suggest the silver foil pudding basins which you can then cover in silver foil and pop in a freezer bag.
Don’t forget to label all your meals with contents and date of cooking.
